You may be here because something in your life doesn’t feel the way you want it to.
I am here to help you.
But behind the scenes, you may be struggling with:
And even when life looks “fine” from the outside… it doesn’t always feel that way internally.
Hi, I’m Erika.
I’m a licensed therapist and I specialize in working with teen girls and young women (20's and 30's) who feel overwhelmed, anxious, and are hard on themselves, even when they’re doing everything “right.”
My work focuses on helping you:
Break free from anxiety and overthinking
Build confidence and a stronger sense of self
Heal your relationship with your body and food
Navigate relationships with clarity and boundaries
Move through life transitions feeling grounded and supported
My approach
Therapy with me is not about fixing you, because you are not broken.
It’s about helping you understand why you feel the way you do, especially if:
You’ve always been the “good” or high-functioning one
You struggle with perfectionism or people-pleasing
You avoid conflict to keep the peace
You fear rejection or being left
We’ll work together to create a space where you can:
Slow down your thoughts
Feel more emotionally grounded
Build self-trust
Show up more confidently in your life and relationships
I integrate evidence-based approaches like CBT and ACT with a deeper understanding of attachment, identity, and emotional patterns.
This can include:
Faith is never assumed or imposed; it’s something we integrate only if it feels meaningful to you.

Therapy can be a place where things finally start to feel clearer, lighter, and more aligned.
I am a bilingual Licensed Psychotherapist and Qualified Supervisor (LCSW QS), and the Founder of Lifeway Counseling and Consulting. I have over 11 years of clinical experience and am licensed in Florida, Michigan, and Virginia.
I specialize in working with teen girls and young women who are navigating anxiety, perfectionism, self-esteem and body image concerns, disordered eating patterns, and relationship challenges. Many of the clients I work with appear high functioning on the outside, yet internally feel overwhelmed, stuck in their thoughts, or unsure of themselves. My goal is to help you feel more confident, emotionally grounded, and secure in who you are.
I began my professional career in education as a teacher, where I quickly recognized that many students were carrying emotional experiences that extended far beyond the classroom. That realization led me to transition into the mental health field, where I have worked across school, community, residential, and outpatient settings.
I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and have supported adolescents and women impacted by a range of experiences, including trauma, family conflict, and life transitions. My background includes working in a residential shelter for teens, providing school based counseling and assessments, and serving individuals within community mental health settings. Throughout my work, I have collaborated closely with families, educators, psychiatrists, and multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive and thoughtful care.
My approach to therapy is warm, relational, and insight driven. I integrate evidence based practices such as CBT, DBT, EMDR, solution focused therapy, and mindfulness while also exploring deeper patterns related to attachment, identity, and emotional experiences. For clients who desire it, I also offer the option to incorporate Christian faith into the therapeutic process in a way that feels aligned, meaningful, and supportive.
I founded Lifeway Counseling and Consulting with the vision of creating a space where clients feel understood, supported, and empowered to grow. Therapy with me is not about fixing you. It is about helping you better understand yourself, build confidence, and create lasting change in the areas that matter most to you.
